Our mission is to promote mutual understanding between the Filipino and people of other countries. Our vision is the world as a global village. To be a productive member of the global village we must understand each other’s culture. In Au Pair Philippine Exchange Services Corporation (APEXS), we believe that the Filipino youth should be given the opportunity to travel and be exposed to other cultures, to share the Filipino culture and to develop an understanding of other cultures. Through our affiliation with Go Au Pair we provide the Filipino Youth a way to travel and to gain knowledge of a new culture through the Au Pair program. The Au Pair program, a cultural and educational exchange program authorized by the United States Department of State, provides a wonderful opportunity for Filipino Youth to share their culture and experience another culture. The program places an Au Pair with a Host Family in the United States where the Au Pair lives as a member of the family. The Au Pair enrolls in educational courses, improves language skills, assists the Host Family in raising their children and receives a weekly stipend. It is a unique and enjoyable way for Filipino Au Pairs to immerse themselves in the American culture through a home- setting.
